ElBits is the grid companies' shared digital innovation partner, owned by more than 30 Norwegian grid companies including StatnettNorway's system operator for the transmission grid - owns and operates the high-voltage network and operates Elhub., Elvia, and BKK. The purpose is to view Norway's electricity grid as a whole through shared digital infrastructure - across the otherwise fragmented system landscapes of the many grid companies. ElBits offers three core services: (1) Tilknytning (Connection) - digitalises the grid connectionThe process of connecting a new facility to the electricity grid and registering it as a metering point in Elhub. process and provides one case, one flow, and one interface for the customer across grid levels; (2) Nemo - the first openly available, digital, and national model of the Norwegian electricity grid; (3) Nettmodell Hub (Grid Model Hub) - shared digital infrastructure for coordination between grid companies.
