What is FRAMSYN?
FRAMSYNTvimenning’s tool for condition-based maintenance: raises work orders from how the component is actually doing, not from how old it is. rests on two equally important sources. RUNAOne register for the physical components - the whole lifetime, with traceable history and standardised designation. owns the components, the history and the maintenance. SEFTAValidation, estimation, and editing with versioned time series, traceability, and export-ready data. owns the metering values and test results that make it possible to say anything about condition at all - without them you are left with age, which is precisely what FRAMSYN sets out to replace. The RUNATvimenning's component register for electrical installations - providing structure and traceability for the components installations are built from. integration runs both ways: RUNA supplies the componentA replaceable part inside a fixed asset. It has its own age, its own history and its own service life - independent of the asset it sits in. history, FRAMSYN sends predictive maintenanceA maintenance tactic: continuously monitor a component's condition and intervene when the data shows a deviation - not on a fixed calendar. What FRAMSYN does in practice. tasks back with a component reference, the predicted problem and a suggested time window, and RUNA enriches the task with context FRAMSYN does not hold. The result flows back, so the model sharpens over time.
Key features
Condition-based maintenance
Maintenance orders are generated when a component actually needs it, not on a fixed schedule.
Combined data foundation
Metering data from SEFTATvimenning’s VEE engine: validates, estimates and edits metering series with versioned time series and a full audit trail, before data goes to Elhub. and assetPhysical equipment owned and used over time - transformer, cable, breaker. It has both a technical and an accounting side, and the two rarely agree. data from SPIRAOne consolidated register for metering points, installations and assets - the source of truth the rest of the chain builds on./RUNA are combined into a single decision basis.
Not tied to RUNA and SEFTA
FRAMSYN does not assume you buy the rest. Both RUNA and SEFTA can be replaced by systems with equivalent functionality - in the Nordics, Avance MDMMeter Data Management - system for collection, storage, quality assurance and distribution of metering data from the electricity grid. and Quant are the closest. It is not prepared out of the box: it takes configuration and a bespoke integration, done by us or by you. RDSReference designation system per ISO/IEC 81346. Gives every component in a facility one unambiguous designation that holds for its whole life. is not a requirement, but without it the assessment is less specific.
Results you can expect
- ✓Maintenance when needed, not by calendar
- ✓Fewer unexpected failures between inspections
- ✓Components that are still sound stay in place, not replaced
- ✓Built on data you already have
- ✓Can run on an MDM other than ours - configuration, not a rewrite
Get started quickly
FRAMSYN is built for rapid implementation. Typical setup takes weeks, not months.
- Dedicated implementation support
- Integration with existing systems
- Training for your team
- Ongoing support after go-live
Who uses FRAMSYN?
Grid companies
Plan maintenance of critical components based on actual operating condition.
Hydropower
Turbines and valves wear differently from plant to plant - maintenance based on actual condition catches what a fixed cycle misses.
District heating
Pumps and heat exchangers rarely fail on a calendar date - metering data on actual load gives warning before the fault occurs.
